electric train CAF MA300 (in configuration [R + M + M + M + M + R], all interconnected units, 108 meters, 1,212 places) of 2005/07 (ATAC group MA 301-378, equivalent to 39 trains) on the A line on the bridge Pietro Nenni, in the spring of 2010.
Since 2007 six trains were put into operation on the Rome-Lido as "Arrows of the Sea" (group MA 379-390). Eight other trains are being added on the B (MA group 391-406).
the map as a network will be in Rome around 2020. According to the latest time schedule (April 24, 2010) will have the following enlargements:
* 2012: Opening B1 (Bologna-Ionian)
* 2014: B1 line extension opening (Ionian-Moscow)
* 2014: Opening light rail ( Anagnina-Torre Angela)
* 2015: Extended opening line (Battistini-Torrevecchia)
* 2015: Extended opening line B (Rebibbia-Casal Monastero)
* 2018: Opening line C (Montecompatri / Slew-Clodius / Mazzini)
* 2020: Opening Extended line C (Clodius / Mazzini-Grottarossa)
* 2020: Opening line D (Ojetti-Agriculture).
Despite all these new openings in the configuration of the network (which would rise from the current 98 km with 96 stations to 152 km with 160 stations) would remain essentially centripetal type (radial lines converge toward the center), and evolve from an X-north west / south-east (on lines A and B present) with two X translated (with the opening lines of C and D) that converge in the quadrangle Spain-Colosseum-Termini-Venezia, similar to a central point, given the Close to the station (see analogy with networks Prague and Budapest ).
interchange nodes will switch from the current 5 to 11, even if the 'network effect' would be limited by the maintenance of the centripetal configuration.
