Terms interchange node is a set of stations and stops located near the Termini station in Rome.
E 'consists of: *
station of the railway service to the airport "Leonardo da Vinci" (former railway station Lazio) *
the two underground stations serving the two metro lines A and B;
* the urban railway terminus Gardens (former railway terminus Vicinal) *
the terminus of the two tram lines 5 and 14.
station of the rail link with the airport (Leonardo Express) is part of the central Termini station and is located on the platform 25 to platform 26 which together made up the old railway station Lazio.
The station is about 600 meters from the interchange node, the connection can not only walk using a mechanized route with a series of moving walkways.
The two underground subway stations are the only interchange between the two lines A and B are currently the subject of a major renovation and redevelopment to be completed by 2012.
The suburban train station for Gardens (which is also more than 600 meters from the node interchange) will be deleted as superseded by the future metro line C, however, the node that will interchange with line A station in the San Giovanni (active in 2012) and line B station in the Coliseum (active in 2015).
The terminus of the two tram lines 5:14 has been the subject of a major renovation in 2009.
The stages of the development of node were as follows:
* 1940: retreat of the RAILWAY station at Via Gioberti following the construction of the new station Termini
* 1950: further RAILWAY station retreat of its present height (via Mamiani) the opening of the underpass Pettinelli,
* February 9, 1955: opening of the subway station of line B,
* February 16, 1980: opening of the A line subway station ,
* 1990: Opening of the link with the airport of Fiumicino,
* July 28, 2009: Opening of the new tram terminus.
